Features Your text file is checked as you type and an audible warning is giving when you make a spelling mistake. Right click for a selection of corrected spellings. HTML code is checked for you and any errors are shown as red or green exclamation marks in the margin. You aren't limited to having a single file open like with Windows Notepad. Use the built-in FTP to upload your files to the Internet. You can drag the file around using the right hand mouse button. When you get used to this you'll wonder why all programs don't do it! A window to the side of NewtPad shows a zoomed out map of your text file and highlights the currently viewed area making navigation easy and fun. Quickly open any of the last 16 files you have been working on. NewtPad can cope with any of these file formats and convert between them. Weblinks are automatically highlighted and you can double click on the link to go to the webpage. HTML, CSS, XML, C, C++, Java, Perl, PHP, INI, VHDL, Verilog and Ruby files are all automatically colour coded. As well as syntax highlighting your HTML you can also tidy it, remove whitespace, auto-indent and Shift + double click to select a whole nested tag. Insert a symbol as a character or as an HTML mnemonic name or decimal code. Insert a common snippet of text from the template list. Choose an HTML colour from the handy colour picker tool and browse nearby colours to make your best choice. Unlimited number of bookmarks to help you jump backwards and forwards through large files. Sort lines in alphabetical, numerical or line length order. Delete lines that are blank, or start, end or contain given text. |
